Welcome to A Year in the Life of Wine, a documentary project following the winemaking process throughout the entire growing season, from dormancy to harvest, with parallel coverage of what happens to the wine post-harvest.

What ends up in your glass when you open a bottle of wine is determined by every decision along the way–not just by the viticulturist and the winemaker, but by mother nature and how her weather treats the vines each year.  It takes the work of a small army to raise a crop of grapes and turn them into wine, and I’ll introduce you along the way to these people and the careful, skilled work they do in the vineyard and beyond.
